Throwback Thursday: Down The Memory Lane With “Superstar” by Ice Prince Zamani

A few years ago, so many songs rocked the airwaves and one of those songs was “Superstar”. Released on April 22, 2011 under the Chocolate city record label headed by M. I Abaga. The single is the second track from the rapper’s debut studio album “Everybody loves Ice prince”.

“Superstar” gained massive reception in all parts of Nigeria and beyond as it topped charts across the globe, although it didn’t meet up with the popularity of “Oleku” which was the singer’s first single. “Oleku” was produced by the then Chocolate city in-house producer Jesse Jagz and it was rated the most notable Nigeria song in 2011.

Back To “Superstar”

Ice Prince came up with the visuals on the 2nd of August 2011 and it won the most gifted hip-hop video of the year award at the 2012 Chanel O music video awards.

It was a song that made fans turn up at every gathering/ events and definitely, it still has that power if it is played in any function now. Well, that’s how you know a good song.

Cheers to Good Music!
