When the singer put out his fourth body of work in four years titled ‘Who is Laycon?’ He still was unkown to a lot of music listeners. This Ep as the name imples was therefore a re-introduction of himself, his music and a statement to the music world- with the hope that the world might finally identify with his music and what it stands for.
Fast forward to several months after the release of this body of work, the singer is now living rent free in the minds of both friends and foes after becoming the winner of the biggest reality TV show in Africa.
His music is now being played every other day which has gathered him over a million streams across digital streaming platforms as his fanbase keeps increasing.
In all, as Laycon keeps striving to make a name for himself in the industry. However, one thing is certain, he no longer needs an introduction.

Olamilekan Moshood Agbeleshe was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. He is a native of Bajuwen, Odeda, Ogun State. In 2012, he got admitted to study philosophy in University of Lagos and graduated in 2016 with a second class upper degree.
Laycon interned as the personal assistant to the MD and CEO of Latjum Global Nigeria Limited when he was still an undergraduate in University of Lagos. He moved to Bestman Games, Ikoyi, Lagos where he worked as a sales and business development personnel after graduating from the university. Two months later, he became the personal assistant to the assistant director of welfare in administration and human resources at Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy. During the course of his career, he worked as a freelance writer for different companies and establishments.
Laycon’s Musical Journey
At a tender age, Laycon began rapping and writing songs. In 2014, he was among the ten artistes that performed at the 2014 Coke Studio University of Lagos event. He was also a top ten finalists of the 2017 MTV Base LSB challenge.Y.B.A.G. Cover art
In 2018, he put out his first body of work titled Young Black and Gifted (Y.B.A.G). A fifteen tracks LP featuring Deshinor and Scarr with production credits going to Ballertosh, Danny B and Echo D Guru.

His second EP and fourth body of work ‘Who Is Laycon?’ Was released on April 2nd, 2020. Made up of eight tracks, this extended play housed features from Reminisce, Chinko Ekun, Deshinor, Yusuf Kan Bai and Tinu.

Despite features from two household names in the industry, the EP wasn’t doing great as he had expected. So in a bid to further promote it and his craft in general, Laycon signed up for the 5th season of big brother Naija (BBN) reality TV show.
Less than three weeks into the show, Laycon, who was at first perceived as the most unlikely to succeed, gained the hearts of millions of viewers of the show with his intelligence, persona and music. And these fans of his immediately identified themselves as Icons having the light bulb as their symbol and did everything required of them to make sure he emerged victorious.
Do you know the beauty about this genuine love for the singer? Well I will tell you. This love and support wasn’t only for his being on the show, it trickled down to his music and have continued even after the show. Which is what made him sign up for the show in the first place. While still in the house, the EP ‘who is laycon?’ was being streamed across various digital platforms by millions. Adding to this, he gained over a million loyal followers on his social media accounts. I guess you can say that the world now knows ‘who Laycon is’and finally paying attention to him.
Upon leaving the BBN house, the singer has been featured on the remix of one of the biggest songs of 2020– Nobody by Dj Neptune featuring Joeboy and Mr Eazi. Laycon’s version had over 10,000 streams in less than 24 hours of its release. And guess what? There’s more music to expect from the singer. Rumor even has it that he’s working on a song with Davido. Hmmm!
On 6th October, 2020, Laycon was appointed the youth ambassador by the governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun.
Very recently, his iconic fans treated him to a surprise birthday celebration. The singer was gifted a brand new Mercedes and a music recording studio to enable him produce more songs. Wow Icons are really doing the most for their president.
