Master KG Beats Burna Boy And Others To Win MTV EMA Award
That Burna Boy is the African Giant is gradually been downplayed as he becomes “second” during consideration for major awards.
Recently losing another award, Burna Boy has lost the MTV EMA Award to Master KG.
The South African Singer who has carted away awards with his widely-accepted song titled “Jerusalem” wrote his name in gold on the MTV “Best African Act” award this time.
Master KG beats South African duo DJ Maphorisa and Kabza de Small, Nigeria’s Burna Boy, Uganda songstress Sheebah and Gaz Mawete of the DRC to their game to win the award.
Sharing the goodnews with his fans and followers, the MTV Best African Act wrote:
“I would love to thank each and every person out there, all over the world, for making this possible. I would love to thank my sister (collaborator Nomcebo Zikode), my team at Open Mic Productions. Everyone who is behind Master KG, thank you guys so much! To my fans all around the world, without you I don’t think this would be possible.”
The level of acceptance Master KG recieved following the release of “Jerusalem” and it’s remix (featuring Burna Boy) is unprecedented.
However, is that enough to place him above the Nigerian music superstar, Burna Boy?
What do you think?
