Burna Boy Pays Tribute To Victims Of SARS Brutality With BET Hip-Hop Awards Performance

The 15th BET Hip-Hop Awards has come and gone with a lot of stellar performances from your favourite hip-hop artistes.

However, there is one performance that particularly caught the attention of Nigerians.

Burna Boy who was singing roughly a week since the shootings at Lagos Lekki Tollgate dedicated his song Monster we made with American super star Chris Martin.

The song which talks about the insensitivity of African governments and how inhuman they treat their subject literally mirrors the current situation in Nigeria.

Burna Boy dedicated the performance of the song which is off his latest album Twice As Tall, to everyone who has fallen victim to the Brutality of the now defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) especially those who lost their lives as a result.

Meanwhile, big winners for the night at the awards included Megan The Stallion and Roddy Ricch who carted away three and two plaques.
