Fans will always be fans and will always talk about one thing or the other especially as it concerns their favorite music artistes.
If it’s not Wizkid FC Vs the Davido fans, it’s some other the fans of some other artistes going at each other, deriving fun in creating rivalries sometimes even where there is none.
Well, this time it isn’t Wizkid FC Vs Davido or perhaps Olamide Vs some other Yoruba-speaking rap artiste, it is Afrobeats Diva Waje.
Waje is definitely a force in the industry, especially when it comes to singing and a story is hardly written about her without the emphasis on how great her vocal range is.
Perhaps this is why she is a frequent feature when it comes to who sings better, especially when it comes to the female folks and in extension even the men.
Fans argue back and forth over who sings better, doing comparisons among the artistes, Waje, Yemi Alade, Omawumi, Teni, Niniola, Bisola Aiyeola and the likes, elevating some while putting others down.
They even go as far as tagging the concerned parties on social media, this is mostly likely why Waje spoke out, discouraging the fans from involving her in such arguments.
In a post via her official Twitter handle on Nigeria’s independence day, she emphasized on not caring about who can sing and who can’t, adding that she will only be welcoming praises or constructive criticism about her music.
Why Una Dey like to tag us for Una argument? Who sabi sing, who nor sabi sing etc. I don’t think we care about who can or can’t so biko argue o but don’t tag me except you re praising or positively critiquing my work and not comparing. Tank you… happy independence

Come to think of it, who does it best when it comes to the amazing Afrobeats talents we’ve got scattered around?
Waje doesn’t think the artistes care who can sing and who can’t, do you agree?
One follower’s response on the tweet implied that this comparison was really with Yemi Alade, could there be any truth to that? And who does it better vocally between this two?
There is one fact I’m sure we all agree on, Waje sure can sing!
