The twin brothers, Peter and Paul Okoye were apparently one of Africa’s most successful duo.
The group gained prominence in 2003 when they released their first studio album with hit tracks like ‘Senorita’ and ‘Igbedu’.
They won a total of 17 awards and 18 nominations throughout their active years together. Some of the notable awards they won include; The Headies, Mobo, Mtv Africa Awards, MTV Europe Awards, BET, Kora, Channel O, MTV Europe music awards.
To a large extent, Psquare never had bad songs. They were simply known for dropping hit songs, back to back!
The song ‘Do Me’ from the ‘Game Over’ album was a massive hit song from their third studio album. As usual, it became a national anthem on the lips of both the young and even old.
“Do me” which could be classified as R&B and Reggae was produced under the Get Squared label owned by the duo.
Psquare was one group that had fans all over the world, until gradually, we began to hear speculations and rumours concerning the issue between the two brothers. Sadly, the group annouced that they were splitting up and eventually splited up in 2016.
No doubt, the news broke the hearts of music fans who still wish they could come back together till date.
Irrespective of the fact that the music group are still doing their thing as separate bodies, with Rude boy and Mr P, however, they have not been able to attain the kind of prominence they did as a group.
In all, we wish there well in their respective journey, whilst hoping they come back together.
