Seun Kuti Blast Men As He Speaks On Feminism

Following the recent fad about protecting women from rape and violence, Feminism is taking the center stage on social media as stars lend their voices to it.

Recently, the son of legendary Fela Kuti named Seun Kuti reopened the matter, calling on men to have sense before it’s too late.

Defending the right of women sternly, the singer slammed African men who see women to be useful in the kitchen alone.

While saying the belief that a woman’s place is in the kitchen is not African but European, he said true African men believe in elevating the female form and not subjugating it.

Seun Kuti went on blasting men who calls themselves Africans but think less and oppress women all in a bid to defend their needs.

Hmmmmm

This is serious, right?

Obviously, this is not a laughing matter for the Afrobeats music ninja.

Taking to his social media to convey his stand, Seun Kuti shared a photo of a group of women armed, captioning it thus:

“A woman’s place is in the kitchen? Which kitchen? Whose kitchen? Not our ancestors kitchen! This proverb is European without any equivalent in any African language. So before you start attaching your toxic masculinity to African culture ask yourself this, do I know African culture? As an African what culture practices of African heritage do I engage in? Religion education liberation? If the answer is none, how come u want to suddenly become African to subjugate and oppress your woman? Ain’t no such thing as half way crooks. You are either African or u aren’t , there is no picking and choosing especially when you want to dump ur toxic self on our women. REAL AFRICANS ELEVATE THE FEMININE FORM”.

Oh wow!

The last part says it all.

But do you believe that?

How true is his words in relation to his person and works in the industry?

What do you even think about feminism and how the music industry has been helping it’s course?
