Burna Boy beats Davido and Wizkid to become Most Streamed Artiste In Africa
For all it may seem, the battle between Burna Boy, Davido and Wizkid is not going to end anytime soon as bodies keep shuffling them above one another.
Recently, while we would want to say that the 3 Nigerian star represented Nigeria well in the global arena, Burna Boy tops all artiste in the Sub-Saharan, Africa.
Showing that music enthusiasts across the world cannot do without streaming the songs of these artiste, top American entertainment media brand, Billboard, made a compilation of the most streamed artists in Sub-Saharan Africa which featured many artistes with Nigerian stars topping the list.
Self-acclaimed African Giant, Burna Boy, led the pack with a total of 435.57 million streams globally. Among the other Nigerians that were on the list, Davido held second place with 285.76 million streams and Wizkid was in third place with 176.23 million streams.
On the list too, was Joeboy, Tekno, and Sinach who had recently become the first African to top the Billboard USA Christian songwriters chart in May 2020.
