The times we’re in is definitely bringing out the humanitarian side in Nigerians, and the musicians are definitely not left out, in fact, a lot of them are at the forefront helping the needy, doing giveaways on social media and all other things similar to that. This period, this season we’re in has really revealed who and who is generous enough to see to the plights of the less privileged.
But beyond the giveaways and the food sharing etc. By various artistes, there are revelations that it is actually second nature to some artistes, they’ve done so much good, more than they can even remember!
One such artistes is Mavin Records Boss, Don Jazzy. It is no secret that Don is behind the rise to fame of many Nigerian artistes, putting in place a platform that doesn’t just earn for him but earn for the Nigerian youths too, making out of then lucrative musical careers. A typical example of that is the recent success of Reekado Banks, and more recently fast rising Rema.
However, the main reason for this article isn’t about Don Jazzy and his Mavin disciples, but rather about him and the ordinary man and woman on the street. After all, you wouldn’t be totally wrong if you say the business side of it is profitable enough for him to get as much as he is giving. But that isn’t Don Jazzy, he’s obviously, more than just making profits, as it has been proven and still being proven via his verified Twitter handle @DONJAZZY.
Testimonies of good deeds by the Don has been pouring in unrestrained even to the surprise of the artiste whose real name is Michael Collins Ajereh and hails from both Delta and Abia State, his father being an Isoko man and his mother an Abian princess. Don was born At Umuhia in Abia State.
Headlining the comments was this tweet from Debo Macaroni @MrMacaronii where he said;
About 8 years ago, @DONJAZZY retweeted one of my tweets wherein I made a blunder. It was all jokes and tweeps were making fun. I took the moment to slide into Don J’s DM and told him I needed money for a project. He sent me N150,000. I knew I would share this story someday.
Another tweet from I Am_Shina simply said;
I remember when you bought gas cooker for me @ShopKonga. God bless you oga Boss
His reactions are are captured in the images below.
s you can see they don’t call him Don for nothing, do they? And you definitely don’t earn a philanthropist tag after doing giveaways in trying times. It’s a cap you put on over a long period. Seemingly, Don has done it consistently. So much that he doesn’t believe some of it!
The facts surely doesn’t lie, Don Jazzy is a certified Philanthropist!
