Admist the scare of the global pandemic, Coronavirus, figures in the entertainment industry has boldy come out to give their opinion regarding what is and what is not about the virus, mostly as cases raises to 8 in Nigeria.
Extenuating facts about the pandemic recently is the son of Afrobeat legend, Femi Anikulapo kuti known as Seun Kuti who said coronavirus is the doing and undoing of some set of people whom he called, Developed nations.
Taking to his instagram page, expressing his displeasure over the virality of the throat contracting virus, the social commentator and singer stated that it is crystal clear now that the virus is a calculated investment of the big big countries to destory the world.
Could this be truth?
Going forward to put a stop to his controversial opinion, Seun Kuti just like his father did when alive bemoaned the level of greed in the world or as seen with the supposed developed countries, saying that greed, irrespective of the form it takes is not good.
See his words in a photo:
“Corona has shown me that the so called developed nations have invested more in the destruction of the planet and humans than they have invested in nourishing and preserving for tomorrow. Greed is not good in any form.”
Captioning the photo, the son of Fela Kuti wrote:
What do you think of this?
As much as this seem not to be pointing to any one, it is visibly pointing to a group of people who have been doing all they can to contain the virus in their various countries and some set of people who we could say are at the helms of affairs.
If all that the singer is sayingcould be taken as a truth, how would we reconcile it with the total shutdown of the economy of most of these developed nations due to lockdown of activities?
Does it mean, these supposed nations did this to end their people too?
Could Seun Kuti be right?
