MTV Base @ 15: Celebrating The Feats in Promoting The African Music Industry

It was a concert of merriments, thrills of excitement and reflections all boxed in the moments shared on lately at the Lekki Special Event Center in celebration of MTV Base fifteen years of unflinching support for the promotion of African music.

From selling a diversified genre of African music to the world to serving as a platform where young talents are given opportunities to thrive, MTV Base has created a niche in the African music industry.

As usual, the event anchored by BollyLomo and Tolu Daniels, was graced thousands of people in attendance, as well as various A List artistes such as Mayokun, Perruzi, Teni, Ckay, Niniola, and a host of many others.

According to Vanguard Newspaper, the Country Manager, VCN Africa, Bada Akintunde-Johnson, said: “At MTV Base, we sit in the heart of youthful culture, we have been able to build a bond with our audiences.

Fifteen years in this industry is no easy feat, and we are grateful for all the support that we have received from our viewers over the years. It was therefore imperative for us to ensure that we partnered this event to give our audiences the complete MTV Base experience that they have come to know and love.”
