Apart from being one of the most anticipated platforms for showcasing music industry talent and rewarding the excellence behind the hits, The Headies Award event is also graced by celebrities from all spheres of entertainment. A night at The Headies never fails to present a display of class, high fashion, and entertainment industry distinction in all its resplendent glory.
With this, in no particular order, below is a selection of some of the celebrities who made up the Glitz & Glamour of the Headies 2019:
Starting with The Hosts of the night, rap icon Reminisce and the super lovely TV host and actress, Nancy Isieme. She looked smashing in the Belle Epoque era outfits styled by Tiannah’s Place Empire. Great effort, well done!
The ever young Star actress, Omotola, gave the night a special glow, as she wore her usual alluring smile and a simply elegant flowery gown, all an addition to the glow of the night! Effortless elegance.
The “Never to be caught unfresh” King arrived in a stetson hat that screamed Badass. Wearing a double-breasted, no-lapel ensemble by Jax Grehman Clothing Brand, Falz was epitome of the swag that he brings into any building. The concept was styled by Deangelic Touch, popularly known as the Billionaire Stylist. All a perfect answer to the question: How ‘do star do’? Can we say it again? Badass.
Mike & Ebuka
Known for exceptional style and class, Mike and Ebuka came with the Bad Man formality you would expect in a Bond movie. The Big Brother Naija 2019 First runner up, Mike, in white suit, displayed a perfect combination of radiance, whilst TV Host, Ebuka was strapped in the JM HYBRID BLACK SUIT, designed by Junior Maphia Life Styles. Mike and Ebuka, gentlemen in killer mode.
The Tachasheee Queen commanded lots of attention as she unleashed a huge glow to the night, with her pepper dem flowing red gown. Tacha gave the night what can best be described as ‘Superwoman’ traffic stopper.
Adding some juice to the flavour of the night was Tobi with his custom-made orange print, doubled breasted tuxedo jacket styled by David Wej.
Big Brother Naija 2019 winner, Mercy, stepped out in grand style in a glittering and fitted black gown by Erica Moore. The elegant design pulled off the remarkable illusion of showing it all, while still covering it all… Erica Moore, take a bow!
Styled by award-winning celebrity stylist, Swanky Jerry, Ike was all set in his black and white blazer by David Wej. Indeed, Ike did not come to play.
The gorgeous Toke rocked the night in a majestic blue maxi styled by Dami Oke fashion. With hair by Bernard Smiles, Toke’s flawless tone glowed compliantly under the sexy high-slit. Please rewind, and hit slow motion replay! We mean real slow…
The ever stunning Ex Mr. Nigeria, TV Host and Brand Influencer stormed in with his usual classic man style, an outfit by the LISK brand and a pair of lux Chelsea boots by Michard Bespoke.
Crowning the night with an angelic look was Andrea in a creatively designed dress made by Idiol Nupo. To match, was her makeup beyond earthly craft by Heaven Essence Beauty, all styled by Dami Oke. Intriguing?
Styled by the Medlin Brand, Teddy graced the night in all kingship with his mixed teal green outfit made by Ugo Monye’s tailouring company. How do you like this shade of royalty?
The bang bang goddess look was ushered in by no other than Queen Bambam, styled by the boss stylist- Medlin Boss, with makeup by KD Beauty and hair by Dv Beauty Saloon.
Styled by David Wej, bejeweled Denola stood out in the classy outfit of floral jacquard, burnt orange pant and tassel slip-on loafers. A priceless reflection of a rainbow untapped.
As usual, the unusual Alex killed it! With an overflow of golden radiance from her long, glowing gown styled by Medlin Couture to her pony tail par excellence made by Dv Beauty Saloon.
In our very own African style, DJ Sose slayed in a white Agbada made by the ‘Looks Like A Good Man’ brand. Indeed, the brand’s name was perfectly displayed in Sose’s super amiable look for the night.
Who’s your daddy? This question is simply answered whenever the Otedola Princess shows up at an event. This time, Cuppy ‘stormed the yard’ with a Gelato look, customized by The Erica Moore Brand. Her lovely hair-do was a nice offset to a neat little pout that seemed to say, I may be daddy’s girl, but I am still Boss.
The dark and lovely Big Brother Naija 2019 Finalist came in a magnificient and bold outfit, described by David Wej as -“Paisely Jaquard Shawl Lapel Tux + Coffee Pant + Coffee Mandarin Collar Shirt.” In addition, he wore a pair of glasses from Miskay MEN and shoes from Zubar Foot wears, known for sophisticated luxury shoes, handmade in Nigeria.
Beyond all the other known ace she commands in the entertainment industry, Venita introduced the world to a previously unknown creativity, as she wore a dress of which every single pattern was drawn by her hand. The finished piece of art was transformed into a masterpiece outfit by The Fia Factory, and styled by Yolanda Okereke.
The Singer was amongst the legends that introduced traditional stunning look of the night. His sparkling black agbada was made by Michael Black Collection, suede pumps by Dej Couture, all styled by Bosede Ikujuni.
Jacky, popularly known as the Tech Queen, glowed her way through the night in a beautifully crafted, pink ruffled number, featuring a detachable layered side piece with a flared bottom. The Jewel of a gown is by Cathy Stephen Bridal, a brand that took pride in using 33 meters of fabric and completed the dress in 24 hours. No doubt, when skill meets creativity, we are gifted with a thing of wonder.
